Gerald T. Laurie
Jerry was a founding member of the firm in 2001. Coming from a very broad and general legal background, his practice now centers on employment litigation and commercial litigation. He is a TOP 40 Employment Super Lawyer as published by Minnesota Law and Politics. A Civil Trial Specialist certified by the Civil Litigation Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association, he has had extensive trial experience since being admitted to the Minnesota Bar in 1967. He was selected as a Leading Minnesota Attorney in Alternative Dispute Resolution for employment law, commercial litigation, and personal injury. Jerry has also been recognized as a Super Lawyer by Minnesota Law and Politics magazine for many years. Jerry has the highest rating, AV, by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.

As a Special Assistant Attorney General, he litigated state tax cases in 1968 and 1969. Since then he has tried cases in a variety of areas, including contracts, securities, trade secrets, non-compete agreements, patent and trademark, criminal, dealer termination, sexual harassment, and wrongful termination.

Jerry has tried many complex employment and commercial cases, and has argued numerous cases before the Minnesota Supreme Court. Some of the cases he handled have been written about in local and national legal periodicals. An author of numerous legal articles, he also lectured widely at legal education seminars to lawyers. Trade secret litigation, legal malpractice, sexual harassment, non-compete agreements, and whistleblowing are some of the subjects of these articles and lectures.
